Santa Baby

Finally the holidays! I think it's safe to say they were long awaited. Taking a few days rest before diving back into my schoolwork. (a.k.a painting the night away and drinking delicious tea)

Merry christmas eve eve. I can't believe December is nearly over, this year has literally flown past. There's only six months left of term, and that scares the crap out of me. I'm going to have to be self sufficient this time next year, I'm not sure I'm ok with that.

I did attempt to bake a festive gingerbread house complete with candy cane door sentinels and a frosted roof, but that didn't quite work out the way it was supposed to. Let's just say the whole thing collapsed and resembled a child's finger painted masterpiece. I tried.

As of today I have decided to attempt to create my own clothes. I find it ridiculous that I own a fantastic sewing machine and do not make any of my own garments. If (stressing on 'if' as making clothes is not my forte) my plan succeeds then I will be able to strut through the streets in individual looking skirts. That's the hope! It would be a lot cheaper than actually buying clothes as well, as I do spend a few quid on them. (Oh if I could be a shoe designer, now that would be amazing) If i manage to make a proper looking item I shall post it!

Ben Howard (the love of my life-his voice literally sings me to sleep it's magical) has been on repeat since i finished the term, no matter what mood I'm in it always calms me down. He has taken over pretty much every spot on my 25 most played on iTunes. I'm not even joking.

I recently borrowed one of my friends for a little art project - I thought I'd show a little sneak-peak. I hope he doesn't mind ;) It was a lovely day all in all, I made him look a tad Damon-esque (Vampire Diaries is my current obsession - I'm not even ashamed of it, quality teenage television right there)

While I'm showing off a few snaps I thought I'd throw in another one. The bottom one is when I was testing out lighting and my beautiful camera lens. Do i look ominous enough?

Time to drink some ginger and rose tea (courtesy of a lovely friend of mine) and sketch some skirt patterns.
